From our beginnings on Tulane Avenue to our new home in New Orleans East, Faubourg Brewing Co. continues to honor our local heritage while investing in cutting-edge technology. At the brewery, delivering products of the highest quality and consistency is what we’re all about — and we do it with a refreshing blend of tradition and innovation.
- We’ve made it through two World Wars, survived 13 years of Prohibition, and managed to find our way back to New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina destroyed the original brewery in 2005.
- Every time we brew a batch of beer on our 100-barrel production system, we make approximately 25,000 pints of beer.
- Our high-speed canning line can produce 166 twelve-ounce cans of Faubourg Beer per minute.
A Perfected Process
Faubourg’s unique brewing process is designed to lift every ingredient to its full potential. Faubourg Lager, for example, is fermented at a warmer temperature than other lagers, which develops a unique and complex flavor profile with pleasant, fruity notes.

Our family-friendly taproom and kitchen, outdoor beer park and beer garden, local beer museum and more offer something for everyone. Behind the scenes, this 85,000-square-foot, 100-barrel brewhouse was designed for consistency and efficiency as we craft all the beers you love and experiment with new ones.
Faubourg combines technology and tradition to retain our beers’ aromatic quality while meeting the most modern brewing standards. Computerized controls cover each step of production, from the filtered water coming in to the flow of cans and bottles on the way out. In our cutting-edge lab we analyze samples throughout the brewing process, checking for uniform color, alcohol content and product consistency. Once it passes lab approval, it’s time for the most stringent test of all — the taste test.
